cars are bad

Another cyclist downed on Kingsland Road this morning, this time at the junction with Crossway, which is on my route. I saw the guy being tended by paramedics at the side of the road and there were a couple of police cars shielding him. I could see his bike lying close by; the front wheel was completely buckled. Woman being interviewed by the cops.

I hope he's OK, whoever he is; still, I guess if they were still working on him then that's good news.

The Kingsland Road that's AKA the A10? A road to avoid as much as possible, that one - impatient cars and careless pedestrians.

The very same. Unfortunately I have to go over it at some point as it is a big dividing line separating my flat from my office. Just have to be extra careful there, I guess...

There are two classes of road users that annoy me - drivers who think that cyclists don't count, and cyclists who think that things like red lights don't apply to them.
If the front wheel is buckled, there could be head injuries...
