My project to force myself to develop a taste for tomatoes continues apace. Today I have cooked myself my own perception of a Spanish chicken stew, complete with many cherry tomatoes, tomato paste (first time I've ever bought such a thing), garlic (don't usually cook with that either), saffron and thyme.

It tastes nice.

Soon, my friends, I shall be removing tomatoes from my "I don't eat list" forever!

I'm not sure I'd ever want to try the foods on my "Don't Eat List", they are there for a reason and that's mostly to do with me being physically sick when having eaten them in the past.

Sun-dried tomatoes and sun-dried tomato paste are both very nice - the latter thickens and sweetens tomato based sauces nicely.

By which I mean - i ate them! I didn't stuff them under the carpet subtly! Your cuisine was tasty! Please feel free to serve me more tomatoes and mushrooms. Next year's project will involve getting to love melted hard cheese, but alas I must take some time before I can cope with that. And around 2012 I will start trying to cope with my final cuisine nightmare: hardcore shellfish.
