Italian

Claudio says I speak Italian with a German accent. :o)

I know what he means: I'm attacking it too much in an effort to get the sound right. When he speaks Italian, he sounds like he's speaking newsreader English. It shares certain timbres with RP. I need to practise relaxing while speaking it, and specifically I need to practise saying a hard "t" and a rolled "r" but relaxing at the same time.

Oh God! That reminds me...

coracaskia's post about bad dreams has just reminded me that I had an absolutely awful one last night. I dreamt I got drunk and shagged Stef's brother. I was *incredibly* glad to wake up and realise that my hazy memory of the event was not because I'd been pissed out my head and had lapses in recall, but because I had been dreaming and it had not, in fact, happened.

Nasty.
