I work behind Goodge Street tube station (2-3 Scala Street [3rd Floor] for obsessives who like to know everything). Those familiar with London geography (or indeed, those who have just streetmapped my position) will know that this is just 2 streets up from the UCL at Malet street, where today's protest march began but half an hour ago.

Overhead there is a noisy noisy helicopter going chackachackachackachacka etc.

I fear it may be here all afternoon.

You must be quite near [livejournal.com profile] wechsler, then?

Yes. I see him on about 5% of the days that I don't go to the gym (i.e. when we arrive in Tottenham Ct. Road at similar times). However, he always walks away too fast for me to say hello, what with those enormously long legs and loping gait. I nearly sprinted as fast as my little legs could carry me yesterday morning in an attempt to catch up with him so's I could give him your earrings/necklace you left in my room. Then I remembered I hadn't put them in my pocket, and saved my breath and relatively short good-for-kicking-but-not-for-running leggies for another day.

God, I've got to walk back up Malet Street in 45 minutes - I've got a lecture there!

Well, I think the actual march will be setting off at about 3pm, so hopefully the main body will have moved off by the time you get there.

He does have lovely long legs, doesn't he? Attached to the most gorgeous peachy behind. Damn, but he's hot.

Tell me about it - I had a meeting in Whitehall yesterday afternoon. Took us 45 mins to walk the usually-15-min walk over there, going round all the police cordons and waving civil servant ID at them. And bloody noisy helicopters everywhere!

Fortunately we weren't coming from Parliament Square and were all wearing suits - people who made the mistake of buying lunch around Westminster had their sandwiches opened!
