Big Brother's re-run of the famous Stanford Prison Experiment. Of course, it being Big Brother, they've turned it into a weird fantasy-world take where the real task is that the prisoners have to keep their secret luxury rooms secret from the guards.

I am also not being at all surprised by power turning Michael into a bit of an arse, and Richard into a playful queen. And could those uniforms be any more queer, honey? :o)

Brilliant!

Hey! Don't you know that I LOVE Big Brother (as it were). You're not one of those tiresome snobs, are you? :oD

I meant that I can't believe they're doing that. What's next, murdering one of the housemates for publicity?

Oh I see. Well, to be fair, they're doing it in a very cartoon-like way. Also, if you remember, one of the crucial things about the original experiment was that the guards were told (untruthfully) that the video cameras would be switched off at night, and much of the worst cruelty happened when they thought they wouldn't be caught. That's not something that there is any danger of happening here.

I actually think they've thought it through very well. There's no danger of the prisoners suffering the severe stress reactions that the students did in Zimbardo's original experiment, because it's the prisoners that have access to the luxury room. Also, the purpose of the "prison task" is very different from that of the Stanford Prison Experiment; boundaries are much more clearly defined.

Just not so clearly defined that Spiral could escape Richard demanding he lace up his boot for him... :o)
