Middle-aged repressed PA in my company has finally lost it. After sending round a (rather rude) all-staff email this morning to the effect that we should keep the communal kitchen tidy this afternoon as we had important guests coming, she sent out this about ten minutes ago:

FUCK'S SAKE!

If you chose to live in a pigsty at home, that's fine. In the office, however, everyone has to be considerate of others. There are 100 people on our floor and clients sometimes walk through the kitchen to get to the toilets.

I specifically said what to do if the bin is full and yet I've just been in the kitchen to find it overflowing and 4 empty boxes/bags on the floor and others on the surface. Use your intelligence and all make an effort!

This has gone to the entire company. I wonder if she will have a job tomorrow.

genius!

I kinda miss the snotty "all staff" emails! We just shout at each other here!

Question is, has anyone cleaned up yet?

We've just had a 20-email saga about Cups Not Washed Up in the the kitchen, leading to someone saying they would be thrown out, others insisting on recycling, reuse... apparently they are now locked up!

Extra info: we have two cleaners hired to look after the kitchen and wash up, they are doing their jobs, and the kitchen is really not in the terrible state the lady above thinks it is.

Apparently she has previous. I have just heard she was fired from her previous PA role within the company (they found her another role) for being rude to her then-boss's wife.

We periodically get terse emails from her, but this one takes the biscuit.

Ah, OK. Our tea room sometimes gets in a right state during the day, before the cleaner can get there, and his job doesn't include washing up. Overflowing kitchen bins are pretty icky.

Just leave all your dirty mugs on her desk from now on...

We had one *classic* email booch in my previous company, where one of the partners' PAs sent an email telling her boss she'd found the perfect temp to cover her annual leave, "She's got all the qualifications, plus blonde hair and big tits. You'll love her." Shame she accidentally hit the All Staff button... The morning was punctuated by sudden howls of laughter across the office, as staff came in from various meetings and checked their emails.

This is the point at which knowing how to 'recall sent message' can be Very Handy.

Personally, no matter how well I got on with my boss, I'd never put something like that in writing!!

On a similar note, we've had signs put up in the toilet cubicles (including the women's, apparentely) saying "Please leave the toilets as you would like to find them".

I sympathise with her and yet at the same time I cannot abide wasting work time on this sort of tedious rubbish. At our last staff meeting we spent 5 minutes talking about new cases and 20 minutes talking about keeping the toilets clean. That cant be right.

So, what happened? Is she still person non grata (or however you spell it)?
