I'm watching dressage.

I'm watching dressage on the Beeb's live Olympics feed online. When do I ever watch dressage? I don't have an ounce of horsiness in my soul. I don't even know what it's about and have been trying to figure it out by looking at the Wikipedia article. I still don't understand why it's interesting. But it's on and it's the Olympics. And I only get to watch any Olympics once every 4 years.

Truly, I am a sad Olympics geek.

I, OTOH, couldn't give a shit about the Olympics but would probably have watched the dressage if I'd known it was on [grin] Dressage are the pretty horses - I love the races very much but they're the impressive horses, not the pretty ones! Actually, I didn't even know that Dressage was considered an Olympic sport. It's a bit poncy for them, isn't it? I'd always imagined that it didn't exist outside of England, and it's traditionally been a very aristocratic hobby...
