It looked like Manchester were going to walk it at first, but Corpus pulled back and pulled back, but didn't go ahead until about four minutes from time, when they suddenly put on a burst of speed and nailed it. Outstanding. I watched most of the competition and there simply were no other teams in it but these two, and possibly St. John's, Cambridge, which gave Corpus a run for their money in the semis. Both teams in the final were absolutely top notch.

I got the feeling that Corpus were a bit flummoxed at first because they weren't used to being in a position of having to come back from behind, which I think explains why they suddenly found their confidence again when they got their noses five points in front.

Does sound exciting...I'd watch it on BBC iPlayer if only I could stand Paxman's voice for more than two minutes at a time...

My mum emailed me about it - Gail Trimble (the Corpus captain) comes from my home town and went to the same school I did.

That final five minutes where they all talked as fast as possible was fantastic.

I liked the way Roger Tilling was practically screaming by the end of it. I don't think I've ever heard him quite so animated.
