It looked like Manchester were going to walk it at first, but Corpus pulled back and pulled back, but didn't go ahead until about four minutes from time, when they suddenly put on a burst of speed and nailed it. Outstanding. I watched most of the competition and there simply were no other teams in it but these two, and possibly St. John's, Cambridge, which gave Corpus a run for their money in the semis. Both teams in the final were absolutely top notch.
I got the feeling that Corpus were a bit flummoxed at first because they weren't used to being in a position of having to come back from behind, which I think explains why they suddenly found their confidence again when they got their noses five points in front.
