more kickboxing

Kelly's pulled all her muscles down the right side of her body, so last night we had [livejournal.com profile] katyha's teacher Daliah instead. And got worked very hard indeed.

I am somewhat impressed to hear [livejournal.com profile] katyha's been practising the hook kick; we haven't even learned that one yet, and I had a good month and a half's start. We did learn the crescent kick last night, though.

This morning I bought myself a Brie and grapes sandwich to have for lunch. I don't know if I can face it now, though. I just don't really like sandwiches. I'd rather have the food in separate bits.

Woe is me.

All together now:

Everyone likes sandwiches!

Ate the sandwiches. Enjoyed the experience more than I expected.

Practising is probably an overstatement -we got shown it and ineffectually attempted to copy what Daliah was doing. Much the same for the spinning sidekick., which made me dizzy. Am practising stretches in the hope that I will eventually be able to kick someone higher than their ankle.

I really like the way Daliah teaches, what did you think? She's very encouraging.

Oh yes - Daliah's certainly really encouraging. Kelly's like that too.

Were you aware of their specialities? Daliah's a black belt in judo, and Kelly's a black belt in Kung Fu.

How about next time we meet up, we do some stretches like we do in class? :o)
