others go on shopping sprees for clothes or sex toys, me...

As some of you may have heard, I am teaching myself Italian. However, I have decided my progress is not fast enough, as what with doing kickboxing, maths and 2x1km swimming every week, as well as seeing people and holding down a full time job, I only look at my Italian books once every 3 weeks or so.

So I am splashing out on an Italian tutor, whose name I have been given by a tutoring agency in Waltham Forest.

I am told his name is Claudio, therefore I like him already.

Cool! How much is it?

Hopefully I'll be able to get such things at vastly reduced prices next year.

If I can get away without too much term-time jobbing, then I intend, before finishing to:

a) Be involved in at least one theatre/show undertaking. Perhaps as a lead actor, if I can. I'm much more of a show off now than ever before.

b) Become good enough at at least one foreign language so that I can go and live and work there when I've finished my course.

c) Have lots of sex

I found my Italian friend through this tutoring agency, which does a wide range of languages up to A-level (although they have a lot of native speakers, so presumably more advanced lessons would be possible too). Charges are pay-as-you-go £17 a lesson, or £20 if you want the tutor to come to your house instead of you going to theirs. That's for one-to-one tuition. If you go in bigger groups, it's a lot cheaper. In fact, if anyone wants to come with me (it's in Walthamstow) then let me know now and maybe we can do that. I haven't spoken to Claudio yet - he's going to call me to arrange the first lesson. I'm going to ask for Monday nights, although I might skip the odd week now and again.
