Sorry, just had to post this as I think it's hilarious. I realise it may not be a rib-tickler for anyone else, though. Still, worth a go...

Indeed. At least in the old days before the internet, the amount of stuff someone like this could say was limited by the amount of sandwich board space available...

On the other hand, we only visit that site to point and laugh, voluntarily. Sandwich-board people tend to insert themselves into your awareness whether you want to be entertained by them or not...

I find that funny because normally when I see pages like that they say things like "GOD IS ABOUT TO VISIT EARTH WITH ALL HIS PINK ALIENS".

Exactly. It just gets funnier and funnier, the more you read. I mean, look at this bit:

The corruption and depravity of the people living today has no place in the future that will come when all taint of today's corrupt and hideous boom has been erased. The destruction and demise of the current boom shall take with it those who profited from the boom. The new beginning that shall arise from the destruction of the current boom will not be tainted in any way by depravity and corruption of the people today. This one's a bit of a nutcase, though, you've got to admit.

Wow. I couldn't read it; I find white text on coloured (or even black) backgrounds difficult at the best of times, but with the complete riot of background colours, I started getting a headache after a whole minute.

OK, now I know I'm weird, because I thought aspects of that design were kind of cool...

Although there was almost a retro BBC micro/Teletext 80s charm to it... but not quite.

My eyes melted.

The only thing that saved me from retinal burn was that they kept switching from ONE loud color to ANOTHER.

I particularly liked the graph showing "the economy" and "housing prices". The complete absence of any indication of what the graph was actually measuring and the ability to put both these things on the same metric, without saying what that is. Very cool. Very well thought out. Tres chic.
