Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome

OK, so stefanc and I are going to Berlin tomorrow for a week, and being joined by some of his pals on Monday morning. We're going to visit some of his relatives there, and we will of course be taking in quite a few of the obvious sights.

So here's my question: is there anything - any place, any shop, any club, any gallery etc. - that anyone here would recommend we go to? I'm looking for suggestions a bit off the beaten track, as we're bound to take in things like the Reichstag, the former Wall site etc. Any ideas? I'm going to be out of internet reach from about 5pm tomorrow, so do let me know before then if you can...

Won't be as pretty this time of year (unless the trees have started to blossom, but Unter den Linden is a lovely place for a walk. Near the Brandenberg Tor if I remember (tho I'd double check if I were you).

There is a holocaust museum that is worth visiting but emotional.

Other than that, no suggestions.
