Apr. 10th, 2002 09:41 amMy back pain is getting worse, exacerbated by kickboxing, and now hurting for some days after each training session. I'm going to see the doc and cut back down to training once a week. Hope I don't have a long-term problem that will necessitate stopping entirely for months (grrrr). Many of my bones have started popping too, although no pain in most places. Ah well, I suppose this is the flip side of an active life: sports injuries(!)
On the good news channel, however, the group theory proofs that constituted question 4 of my homework to be sent off today (and thus finished last night) - the ones I had looked at and seized up on on Monday night - just dripped off my pen like water last night, like turning on a tap. Bizarre.

Date: 2002-04-10 02:52 am (UTC)Very true. The trouble is that now I've been kickboxing for a couple of months, I find that I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really like it. So it's not just a form of exercise for me any more, but a hobby with tactical elements and a social side etc. etc. It'll be a real bummer if I can't do it because my body can't take it. However, I'm sure I can get it all sorted out with a bit of chiropractic, which worked wonders for me when I had seemingly incurable back pain years ago (turned out to be a tilted pelvis, which the chiropractor just pushed back into place - yay!).

Date: 2002-04-10 05:12 am (UTC)Or were you looking at something indoors / without equipment?
Unfortunately in my case my muscles tail off before I start breathing heavily... never used to be the case.
