ajvaA presumed mixup with the mail meant that the first letter disappeared into thin air and so the first I knew about it was Saturday, but having called up the hospital this morning to confirm it seems that I will be going in tomorrow and having my third ear operation on Wednesday.
I am somewhat apprehensive as I have no idea if I will be able to hear anything when I come out; this operation is number three in a series of four, and the first one to be done on my good ear. I am going to request a hearing aid for the other ear, although it's not something I've mentioned before so I have slight concerns about their ability to accommodate the request before I leave. On the other hand, it's the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear hospital we're talking about, so one would assume they will have such things in storage.
I am likely to be out of touch for at least a week, so I just thought I'd say I hope you're all well and I'll see you later.
